IIPE Set To Start Mentoring Teachers, Students From Today

Visakhapatnam: Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE), an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, is conducting Scientific Social Responsibility programs, College and School Teachers Education and Academic Mentoring (CS-TEAM) and LCS-SFP (Local College and School Students’ Fellowship Program) for three days from December 21.

Prof Shalivahan, Director IIPE told the media on Friday that they are in line with the Central Government Jigyasa Program. He highlighted the responsibility taken up by IIPE to promote science and higher education. Through these programs government school children and teachers will be tutored and acquainted with the latest developments in STEM areas.

He mentioned that the number of schoolchildren intake for the program will be increased when the institute starts functioning from its Sabbavaram campus. Prof Shalivahan stressed that IIPE is willing to be a hub with all the surrounding government schools and colleges as spokes. He acknowledged the efforts of the coordinators Prof Polamarasetty Aparoy and Prof Randhi Ramunaidu, and Prof K Vijay Kumar, Deans.
